3 Summative Portraits
This is the first photo i did for my summative assessment. I chose to do a cool man look with this picture. Thats why i have the sunglasses on! I chose black and white because i think it makes the picture look more sharp.
This is the second photo i chose to do for my summative portraits. I chose to have an action shot of me diving in the water because I LOVE WATER. Swimming, boating, skiing, you name it I LOVE IT. I thought that would be a good photo representing me. I altered the saturation and did a color balance to the photo.

This is the Third portrait that i took for the summative assessment. I wanted to get an action shot of me playing tennis. I used color balances as well as blur multiply to make the colors more vibrant. I also made the contrast and saturation levels altered for the clean colorful look.

PoRtRaItS
I chose to use my Parents!
The first photo i took was of my mom. I took a picture with just her face in focus so that the background would get blurred out. I then made the picture look more visually interesting by making the eyes pop, with the burn tool. I also used the spot healing tool to make it look like her skin is perfect. Overall, i really like the way this photo turned out.

This is the second photo i took. Its of my father!!!! I took this in the realitivly same area as my mom, to follow a theme. I also took this photo so that his face is the only object in focus. I used a blur overlay filter, and lessened the saturation to bring this photo to what it is!

Finding good light
All these were taken on a walk around Fowler lake with my aunt

This photo i though turned out really well/ Believe it or not i didn't do anything to this photo in photoshop. The lighting was awesome, with the reflection of the lake and the vibrant colors that the sun was complimenting.
This photo was also in the same place as the first one, in memorial park. I tries to get the linear feel and i think i achieved it. I think the lighting was good in for the reflection in the water. I changed the saturation and contrast a bit to get the bridge to stand out more.
This was an old garage door, that i found on our walk. I thought it was cool because of the old look that it gave off. I also like that one of the windows was broken which also have it that antique feel. I also tries to get that linear effect with this as well. I made the blues a little more saturated to make it stand out.
This photo was taken by Fongs at the skyline. I thought that the two chimmneys looked cool together. It gives the picture an industrial feel. The building was blue before but i blacked it out using the blur overlay with the linear blur layer. I think the light from the sky adds great contrast. Theres also a bird in the sky!

This photo i also took at memorial park Oconomowoc. I chose to take this picture because of the overall layout. I think this photo turned out well. Really gives you the urban feel.

This is another picture that i took of the garage door. I took one farther away to make it seem more run down. I think the composition is good, with nothing dead center. Overall, i think that this picture does a good job conveying it's theme.

This is the last picture i took for my color exploration. I like how this photo looks very rustic. I made the vines stand out a little more with saturation, and i took the picture so the window would follow the rule of thirds.

The Yellow wallpaper response images!
This is the photo i chose for the yellow wallpaper assignment. The storys main role was talking about depression. They also talked about the main charactor being locked in a room alone with nothing to do. I tries to tie in the depression aspect of the photo with the moms face and posture. I told her to sit in the corner! I think this photo shows depression very well. She looks so bored. She also almost looks like she starting to go insane! I used the blur overlay, black and white filter with a warm sepia filter as well. I also made the photo alittle lighter because it was so dark before.

This is another photo that i thought worked good for the Yellow Wallpaper depression project. We were only supposed to do one but i really like this photos composition. With my mother as the model again i had her sit in the corner. I had her hold a piece of crumpled up paper which symbollizes her need to write something. I also put a piece of crumpled paper in front symbolizes the numerous tries shes had. I really like how the overall composition and color came out in this photo. Again, i used the black and white, with warm photo filter as well as the blur overlay with the multiply effect.

Color Exploration

This is the first photo i chose for the color and mood exploration. I took this picture after i got done working at KILTIE! I chose this photo because of the red and how people feel about it. People associate red with love and i think the kiltie is perfect for that. Many people love to eat and love to come to the kiltie. So i think that red was a good choice for the sign. I think that the composition in this photo and the color of the sign makes you want kiltie even more. I saturated the color a little bit and made the background a little darker to get the overall "pop".

This is the second photo i chose for the color exploration. I really like this picture because i really didnt do much at all when it came to editing. It actually for the most part came out like this. I think the mood in this photo tranquil and almost gives it an antique look because of the yellows. and soft oranges. I think this photo really welcomes you in.

This is my final photo foe the color exploration. I chose this really because of the composition. I really like the dark tree off to the left against the colorful sunset background. I also like how the foreground is black so all of the color is from the sky and the reflection of the water. I think the mood in this photo is calming and relaxing. I say this because of the calm water and beautiful sky. I also like the contrast in the blues and oranges against the dark black ground and trees.

ATTRACTIVE AND REPULSIVE

This is one of my attractive photos thati chose to do. I chose to take a repulsive subject like citgarettes and smoking, and make it look kinda attractive. I made it look attractive by using alot of contrast. I think this picture looks cool with the red/orange ash tray against the neutral background.

This another one of my attractive photos. I took another bad subject like this weed and made it look really nice. The weed already had yellow flowers but i made them more saturated and used a blur overlay to make the colors pop, and overall make it an attractive.

This is one of my replusive photos. I chose to do this photo because the lakes espically around here are an awesome thing to look at, but with pollution, and garbage it really makes the lake repulsive. I used the blur overlay and played around with the brightness and contrast to make the photo look good, but still repulsive because of the pollution in the water.

This is another one of my repulsive photos. Thinking of an idea was a challenge and my mom just said do something with the duck!! So i did. Overall alot of people consider rubber ducks as happy, attractive things to have around. I brought the rubber duck to its original habitat. (the lake) and i put dirt, seaweed, and other things from the lake that i found repulsive. I used the blur overlay as well as good composition to achieve what i was looking for.
